FROM AN OLD DIARY

The musical performance “From an old diary” shows Łódź from various periods – the one from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and now. The participant is led by the memories of Daniel’s father, whose parents came from two different Jewish and German cultures, as well as Erwin’s son who comes to Lodz after his father’s death to find places described in his diary.

Memories are interspersed with songs sung by the Intergenerational Choir of 4 Cultures DIALOGUE. Jewish, German, Russian and Polish songs make the spectator aware of the multicultural character of our city from the time before World War II. There are also photos and films about old Łódź, showing at the same time  big changes  taking place in our city.

Take part. Feel invited!
